INGREDIENTS
(for a 10 inch skillet)
12 hot dogs
2-3 packages crescent roll dough
1 small onion, diced
1 pound ground beef
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ cup tomato sauce
½ cup ketchup
½ teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon sugar
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup finely sliced green onion

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 375ºF/190ºC.
Cut hot dogs into thirds.
Cut crescent roll triangles in half lengthwise so you have roughly 1-inch by 5-inch triangle slices.
Roll crescent dough around hot dog thirds, starting with the wider end of the dough closest to the hot dogs, making “pigs in blankets.”
Arrange pigs in blankets around a 10-inch skillet in two tight circles, leaving a hole in the center of the skillet.
Bake 15-20 minutes, until dough puffs up and becomes golden.
In another large skillet, sauté onions until translucent.
Add the ground beef to the onions, then season with salt and pepper.
Continue stirring ground beef until mostly cooked.
Add the tomato sauce, ketchup, cumin, chili powder, and sugar to the ground beef and onions. Stir until everything is well mixed. Simmer 10 minutes.
When chili and the pigs-in-blankets skillet are both ready, spoon chili to fill the hole in center of the skillet. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake another 5-10 minutes until cheese is well melted.
Top with diced green onion before serving.

INGREDIENTS:

FOR THE COOKIE CAKE:
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup M&Ms (Use spring colored M&Ms)
1/2 cup Easter sprinkles
FOR THE FROSTING:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream or milk

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9” round cake pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Make the cookie cake: Beat butter and sugar with a hand or a stand mixer until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla, then mix in baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar. Slowly mix in flour. Stir in M&Ms and sprinkles.
Press batter into prepared pan, pressing more M&Ms onto the top as desired. Bake for 19-22 minutes or until the edges are just turning a light golden brown. It’s better to under bake this dough than over bake it. The cake will continue cooking a bit as it cools so err on the side of underdone for the best tasting cookie. Let it cool completely before frosting.
Make the frosting: beat butter until smooth, then slowly beat in powdered sugar until crumbly. Add salt and vanilla, then add 1 teaspoon of heavy whipping cream. Beat until smooth, adding another teaspoon of heavy whipping cream to get a spreadable texture.
To frost: use a 1M tip and a ziplock or piping bag to decorate the cookie cake. Top with more sprinkles and M&Ms.
Store loosely covered for up to 2 days.thehitophttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07574669595472618669noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683384583771482280.post-88597996292194082262017-10-24T22:21:00.000-07:002017-10-24T22:25:32.566-07:00Recipe Chicken Chicken Parm Bites

Ingredients
4 - 6 chicken breasts (boneless and skin less)
1 bottle Zesty Lime Italian Vinaigrette Dressing
1½ tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon minced garlic (about 2 - 3 cloves)
FOR THE TACOS
1 can of refried beans
12+ hard taco shells (two boxes)
2 cups shredded mexican blend cheese
grape tomatoes, sliced in half
jalapeno, sliced and seeded
cilantro, chopped
avocado, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons green salsa
3 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon milk
---
Instructions
Put the uncooked chicken breasts in the crock pot. Pour the full bottle of salad dressing over the chicken. Sprinkle the rest of the ingredients over the top and mix them in a bit with a spoon.
Cover your crock pot with the lid and cook on high for 4 hours.
Remove all the chicken breasts from the crock pot and let cool.
Shred the chicken breasts and move to a glass bowl.
Pour most of the liquid over the shredded chicken.
FOR THE TACOS:
Make the guacamole sauce by mixing the avocado and green salsa together. Pour the guacamole mixture through a strainer until smooth and transfer to a squeeze bottle. Cut the tip off the lid of the squeeze bottle to make the opening more wide if needed.
Make the sour cream sauce by mixing the sour cream and milk together until you get a more liquid sour cream sauce. Transfer to a squeeze bottle.
In a 9x 13 glass baking dish, fill all 12+ tacos with a layer of refried beans, cooked chicken and shredded cheese.
Bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes just until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Out of the oven top all the tacos with the sliced grape tomaotes, jalapeno and cilantro.thehitophttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07574669595472618669noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683384583771482280.post-72594086898907832382017-10-09T00:37:00.002-07:002017-10-09T00:37:25.647-07:00Recipes Cheesy Bacon and Egg Breakfast Bombs

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3/4 teaspoon coarse grained salt
Cracked black pepper
1 teaspoon olive oil
Directions
Be sure to use ground white meat chicken. If you're buying your ground chicken from the grocery story, ring the bell and ask them if they've got what you're looking for or if they'll grind some chicken breast for you. You can also grind it yourself in a food processor. Remove all excess fat and cartilage from boneless, skinless chicken breast and tenders, cut into 1-inch cubes and pulse until coarsely chopped.
Use fresh bread crumbs. It only takes a few extra minutes. Remove crusts from good bread or don't remove the crusts, tear into chunks and pulse in a mini chopper or food processor. Make a giant batch and freeze them so next time you can skip this step.
Place chicken in a mixing bowl. Using a rubber spatula, fold in milk, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, onion, cayenne, salt and pepper. The mixture will be very wet which means it will be a tiny bit icky forming it into patties but forge ahead. Place remaining 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs on a dinner plate or cookie sheet. Divide chicken meat into 4 or 5 piles (you decide which portion size is best for you) and using your hands, shape into patties. Coat each patty with bread crumbs. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and fry patties until golden and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Serve immediately.thehitophttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07574669595472618669noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683384583771482280.post-4320786245158957972017-10-07T21:29:00.000-07:002017-10-07T21:29:12.249-07:00Recipe Alfajores

Ingredients
200g plain flour
300g corn flour
2 tsp baking powder
Baking powder
250g unsalted butter
Butter
150g caster sugar
zest of 1 lemon
1 tsp vanilla extract
450g jar dulce de leche
50g desiccated coconut
Using a food mixer or an electric whisk in another bowl beat the butter together with the sugar and lemon zest until very pale. Add the egg yolks followed by the Cognac and vanilla extract. Beat in the dry ingredients until you have smooth dough. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and chill for a minimum of 1 hour. You can make the biscuit dough the day before and leave in the fridge.
2--Line two large baking trays with baking parchment. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to the thickness of a pound coin then cut out 60 biscuits with a 5cm round or fluted cutter. Put the biscuits back in the fridge for 20 mins to firm up.
3--Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Bake the biscuits for 8 mins until just set. You want the biscuits to stay pale with a crumbly texture.
INGREDIENTS
200 g Peaches sliced, net weight
1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
1/2 tbsp Honey
1/2 tbsp White Wine optional
Puree
200 g Peaches net weight
1-1 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
3 tbsp Sugar
3 g Gelatin Powder
50 ml Hot Water about 80°C/176°F
Mint Leaves
INSTRUCTIONS
1-Cut the peach into bite-size pieces and add the lemon juice, honey and the white wine. Gently toss to coat and marinate the peach in the syrup.
2-Look at this beautiful peach! This looks too good to eat but we’ll make it into a puree. Peel the peach with a knife. We recommend using soft ripe peaches to give the jello a smooth texture.
3-Slice off the flesh into a bowl. It is very juicy and the soft cutting sound is so pleasant.
4-Add the sugar and the lemon juice. With a hand blender, puree the peach. The sweetness of peaches varies so you should adjust the amount of sugar accordingly.
5-Pour the marinade into the puree.Place the marinated peach slices into cups.
6-Heat the water to about 80°C (176°F) and measure it out in a cup. Add the gelatin powder and dissolve it completely.
7-Add the gelatin to the puree and mix to combine.Float the bowl on ice water and chill the puree to help it firm up quickly and evenly.
8-Pour the puree into the cups and place them in the fridge for about 2 to 3 hours.
9-Now, the peach jello has firmed up. Garnish with the mint leaves.
10-This recipe uses a minimum amount of gelatin to give the jello a pleasant texture, which goes great with the soft peach flesh.thehitophttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07574669595472618669noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683384583771482280.post-64888415486469766422017-10-04T21:21:00.000-07:002017-10-04T21:21:03.994-07:00Recipe Frozen Yogurt and AZUKI MILK

INGREDIENTS
Fruit Frozen Yogurt
1 Kiwi Fruit
1 Orange
120 ml Strawberry Yogurt
120 ml Blueberry Yogurt
4 Popsicle Molds
AZUKI MILK
150 ml Milk
1 1/2 tbsp Condensed Milk sweetened
4 tbsp Amanatto a type of candied azuki beans
4 Disposable Paper Cups 100ml/3.4 fl oz
4 Popsicle Sticks substitute: disposable wooden chopsticks
4 pieces Aluminum Foil 8x8cm/3.1"x3.1"
INSTRUCTIONS
1-Let's prepare the fruit. Slice the kiwi fruit into 7mm (0.3") slices and cut them into quarter moons. Remove the membranes from the segmented orange and cut the wedges in half.
2-Place the kiwi and orange onto each plate. Add the sugar. Lightly toss to coat and let them sit for about 10 minutes. You can also use honey or maple syrup instead of the sugar.
3-We're using these popsicle molds. Spoon the blueberry yogurt into the mold. Add 2 pieces of the kiwi. Then, spoon the strawberry yogurt over it. Add 2 pieces of the orange.
4-Repeat this layering process, assembling the popsicle. Be sure to leave about 5mm (0.2") at the top since it will overflow when frozen.
5-Set a handle into each mold. Let the molds sit in the freezer overnight to firm up the popsicles thoroughly.
6-We're making azuki milk popsicles using small paper cups. Put 1 tablespoon of Amanatto, a type of candied azuki beans in each cup.
7-Add the sweetened condensed milk to the milk. Stir it evenly and then pour the mixture into the cups.
8-Cover each cup with a piece of aluminum foil and make a small slit in the center. Insert a popsicle stick into the slit. The foil will help hold the sticks in place. The azuki milk popsicles will harden after about 3 hours.
9-The popsicles are fully frozen. Dip the molds in a bowl of water for a moment or run them under water at the sink. This will help loosen the popsicles easily.
10-Wiggle the popsicle free and remove it out of the mold. The colorful layers are absolutely beautiful, aren't they?
11-As for the paper cups, remove the aluminum foil. Make a cut along the cup with kitchen shears. Then, tear the paper to remove the azuki milk popsicle.
12-If the popsicle sticks aren't available, you can also use waribashi, disposable wooden chopsticks.thehitophttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07574669595472618669noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683384583771482280.post-9856820994624400602017-10-03T04:00:00.001-07:002023-03-25T03:05:04.053-07:00Recipe Kabsa Laham (Arabic Rice)

Yes you must have heard a million people say how coffee is the first thing they want in the morning as soon as the splutter their eyes open and how it is the only hot drink that can help you to cut through and make way past all the stress.

Then there are the other populations of people who have waved the "No-No" flag for Coffee and only support the harmful effects.

However this article is for the coffee lovers who in spite of desperate trying cannot seem to give up on the luxury of Coffee.

Here are a few reasons showing how coffee does quite a lot of good things to us and our body.

1. Free from the pain

Who likes the clinging bothering pain after a tiresome workout? However a lot of study and journals have been found to ponder over the subject that an increase in the take of the fiber helps to reduce the post- workout pain. Gulping down 2 cups of coffee post workout can reduce the muscle pain upto 48% providing you with a bare minimum relief.

2. Protect the heart

Various research's have shown that individuals indulging in the intake of 3-5 cups of coffee a day has less chances of showing the signs of a weak and fluctuating heart. Heart diseases are common and are often seen for various reasons as one ages over the years, however coffee almost solves that burden and the heart is somewhat secured. It was through a Korean study that this concept was confirmed as to how coffee plays its role in diminishing the beginning signs of heart diseases.

3. Ditch the taste and emphasize on the qualities

Black coffee is a rare favorite. But one should not merely go for the taste and should think more about the health benefits that you might get if you choose black coffee over milk coffee. Black coffee helps you to stay rid of tooth cavities by killing the bacteria on the teeth. If this is not done the tooth is led to a decaying process. Black coffee can help you avoid that. Adding milk and sugar sort of goes against this benefit so here black coffee is shown in a more positive light.

Hence here are just few of the advantages of showing Caffeine as the winner.

Yes there are bad factors too but this article is solely to emphasize on the good parts as Coffee is a day to day companion in busy lives of today's generation.

Coffee is one of the most popular drinks these days since it provides anti-oxidants. Not to mention, coffee also provides other health benefits. However, there are some individuals who are starting to look for a healthy coffee recipe they can make use of. Sadly, some individuals make mistakes in doing so. To prevent this, below are some of the mistakes individuals need to be aware of when creating a healthy coffee recipe.

Thinking that all oil is created equal

When creating a healthy coffee one of the main options is to add oil. However, the mistake that individuals commit is they think that all oil is created equal. For instance, adding coconut oil in a coffee can provide you with wonderful health benefits. However, using ordinary oil is not good since the benefits offered by raw and unrefined coconut oil can be neglected when using ordinary ones. So, it is best to make sure that you choose the right oil for your recipe.

Neglecting the type of butter you use

The next mistake that individuals make when creating a coffee recipe is they neglect the type of butter they make use of. Like oil, butter is an important ingredient in making a healthy coffee. This is possible since butter can provides fat which is burned to become energy. But, this can only be achieved when you make use of a grass-fed butter. Even worse, some individuals make use of margarine which is known to be a hydrogenated junk food.

Adding milk

Of course, some individuals want to make their coffee tasty. And, the best option is to add milk. Surely, milk can provide wonderful healthy benefits, but when adding it in your drink, it can ruin the healthy features of it. This effect is experienced since milk can restrict the body in experiencing the fat-burning mode healthy coffee can provide.

Including sugar

When regard to making your drink sweet, using sugar is also a huge mistake that individuals make. Sugar is a carbohydrate. Therefore, rather than fats, the body will burn carbohydrates and store the fat which can defeat the purpose of the drink. In case that you want to make your drink sweet, it is best to make use of natural sweeteners.

Using ordinary coffee

Finally, there are also some individuals who make use of ordinary coffee. Most coffee are pesticide contaminated. Thus, individuals consume these chemical which can affect their health. Fortunately, there are companies that offer organic coffee beans. Not to mention, these beans are stored in natural packages to avoid contamination.

Many people can be defined by their habits, such as drinking coffee. Many coffee drinkers enjoy the taste, and some enjoy the nice boost the caffeinated drink gives them in the morning. People can tell you approximately what age they started to drink coffee and why. People tend to answer "Oh! Coffee? I started drinking that in college! Studying and homework at the last minute. Thank you coffee and Google!"

Me? My first sip of the flavor was about in third grade. I know what you're thinking, third grade? That's such a young age to even think of drinking coffee. Don't worry, my mom liked to trick me into thinking I was older than I actually was. She'd fill the cup up with milk and a little of a vanilla flavored cream. She'd top the drink off with a splash of coffee for the color. Gullible me, there I was drinking a cup of coffee with the grown ups at the age of eight!

I'm absolutely convinced I was made to love coffee though. My mom would tell me stories of how she was pregnant with my older brother, Chris. Since he was the first child, my mom had to follow every rule there was in the book to having that beautiful, glowing, smart, and healthy child by the time he was ready to come into this world. So, books and other mother's had stated drinking coffee wasn't the best idea for the baby. Stunt growth and all of that non-sense (I'm a 5'7, young, lengthy, woman if you were wondering, so I'd like to possibly be evidence of coffee not stunting growth). But hey, my mother was just here to protect her first born, so in this case I do not blame her for drinking coffee while pregnant with Chris.

Bada-bing-bada-boom, my brother was born and four years later I'm on my way! Things were different this time around, my mother felt a little bit risky with this one. I guess while pregnant with me she had the choice to have a healthy baby or drink coffee for her satisfaction. Yes... you guessed it. She fell to her wants instead of my needs. Can you believe that? Ha, I'm only joking, I came out a healthy baby. While the pregnancy, she decided she'd give coffee a try.

To this day, I'm convinced that drinking coffee while you're pregnant with your child will only breed coffee addicts. Here I am today, being defined by my coffee drinking habits (well, that's not all that defines me). I'm sure if you asked anyone that knew me, one of the facts they know true to their heart is that I am quite in love with coffee, that's for sure. So why not share the love with all of the other coffee drinkers? Let's learn together about more products, international coffees, what coffee does, health facts, decor, coffee art (because who even knew there was such thing!)

Well, I hope you're making your second cup of the day because were about to get started!

India is the sixth largest coffee producer in the world but Indians, on the whole, were not major coffee drinkers. Apart from the south where filter kaapi reigned supreme, tea has dominated the psyche of the average Indian. Things are changing rapidly though as the twin forces of globalisation and Internet have made coffee the cool new drink. More and more Indians are turning coffee to fuel their workday as cafes, both international and domestic, are sprouting across all cities and towns. These fast expanding cafes are the prime spot for people to catch up or spend a few hours either working, reading or just whiling away the time. Equipped with free wifi and air-conditioning, these cafes are also fast becoming the venue of choice for informal work meetings. Where until only 20 years ago, cappuccino, latte and double shots would have been alien words, today's Indian not only knows the difference between them but can also discern between a medium, dark or light roast and are on the hunt for the best coffee machine.

But even this pattern of coffee consumption is changing. Whereas earlier Indians were satisfied with drinking coffee at cafes and tea at home, the same no longer holds true, people now want to enjoy cafe quality coffee at home and are not shying away from purchasing coffee machines and single origin coffees to take their love for coffee to the next level. Another reason for this trend is the high level of sugar and artificial flavouring present in the signature coffee drinks of many cafes, which does not sit well with the health conscious youth of today. Contrast this with the scenario of only a few years ago when the average Indian would have had no idea about the different coffee brewing methods, let alone think of purchasing a coffee machine. The hunt for the best coffee machine is on as Indians comb through internet reviews, form coffee appreciation clubs, attend coffee tasting meets for the best brew available. Gourmet coffee roasters and sellers find themselves flooded with orders for their artisanal blends and instant coffee, the go-to coffee option of the past is given a miss.

While popular misconception may lead people to think that coffee machine price in India is horribly prohibitive or the products available are of poor quality, nothing could be further from the truth. Coffee makers in India are not only at par with international brands, but the prices are also competitive, making owning the best coffee maker for one's needs a distinct possibility for everyone. Grinding ones own coffee, brewing it at home is now considered a sign of sophistication instead of a tedious and well-avoided chore as thought earlier.

From a niche beverage to a drink signifying upward mobility and youth, coffee in India has traversed a long and interesting path in just twenty short years leaving us to wonder what the next coffee consumption trend will be. And while we wait for it to turn up, may we suggest a piping hot cup of coffee?

On a drive to work, I entered a drive-through coffee premises, turned a corner and pulled up next to a speaker box.

'Welcome to -------?' said a voice.

'A small cup of coffee please, and could you fill it up?'

'Okay, drive up to the window.'

'Okay, drive up to the window,' is a command used by fast food stores to control the masses of customers they strip every day of their money in exchange for (sometimes) watered-down coffee and tons of sugar-impregnated, fat-loaded donuts.

When the car in front left, I drove up to the cashier. The window retracted, and two fingers and a thumb snatched my credit card. Half a minute or so later my card was returned, followed by my small cup of coffee, which I rested in the first coffee holder behind the gear lever.

I could have driven away from the store premises and made the right turn which joins the road that led to my medical practice, but instead, since I was feeling unsure, I parked in a strip of space facing the main entrance door of the store.

If there was a day someone felt unsure of what to do next, how to proceed with what my son calls 'the repetitive robot's way of life,' this was the day. In this passive mode, in between sips of coffee, we can come up with excuses for our indecisive actions, ideas that do not survive beyond the dream stage.

'Cold coffee!' my brain screamed when my mouth made contact with the opening in the lid. Among all the things I hate, a cold cup of coffee is top of the list. I can reheat my coffee more than ten times before I finish a cup.

One problem is always a gateway for much more. Now it suddenly occurred to me that though I had been assured of a full cup of coffee, my coffee was not only cold but half empty as well.

Half a cup of cold coffee meant one thing. The attendant had fooled me. Clues of his hatred were everywhere.

All of a sudden I saw the dislike the attendant had for me in the tone of his voice, in the way he took my credit card and the way he handed me my coffee. No wonder he wore the constant grin of middle-aged men who are desperate to hide the wrinkles of their age.

I exited my car and went into the store. The attendant was serving a woman who, by the way she was dressed and her quickness of movement, suggested she just got out of the gym. So I loitered around the open front space, reading labels of decorated food poisoned with loads of sugar and rocks of salt.

It did not take much time before the woman who had just gotten out from the gym hurried away, permitting the attendant to acknowledge my presence.

'How may I help you?' the attendant asked.

'This coffee is cold,' I answered as I handed him back the cup of coffee. I did not mention the 'half empty' issue, because he would say that it was the store's safety policy, or (even more annoying), that it was for my safety to prevent a spill.

He hesitated as he considered his options. He could warm up, discard, or replace the coffee.

My cup of coffee was now in his hand once more. He ducked it on the wooden flat top behind the computer screen, my visibility limited to various motions of his elbows.

All the while he tinkered with the cup of coffee his permanent grin did not tweak, but his eyes rolled sideways like someone who has more surprises for their enemies.

'All set,' he said handing back the coffee, his face a whiteboard of nostalgia and ridicule.

Delight and a sense of ancestral revenge filled my psyche as I walked back to my car.

'Take a sip before you leave,' a thought insisted.

My lips went out again. The contents were not only a snort warmer than the original cup but, also, tasted like a cup of boiled water.

Why would the attendant act in this manner? What would a reasonable customer have done? Be nicer? Walk away? Ignore the abuse?

What does our money buy us? What the buyer asks or what the seller has to offer?

It was one of those days when one meets just the perfect foe at a perfect time.

A part of me raged to go back and challenge the attendant. To let him know I knew what he did to the cup of coffee, and to watch him wriggle as he confessed the allegation.

Warriors hate men who never fought for anything in their lives, men who give up easily. There comes a time in a man's life when he should stand tall for the things he believes in. Whether a cup of coffee rises to that level is hard to tell.

But again, retreat is not always an act of cowardice. Only people who stay alive live to fight another injustice and another betrayal. A man capable of diluting one's coffee with water could quickly pull a surprise; whip up a pistol from one of the bottom lockers and fire indiscriminately. Or if he doesn't harbor a weapon, he could speed-dial the police to report a nonexistent threat.

The first thing an officer - who, given the time of day, is likely to be a young officer - would see upon arrival is a black man confronting a white store attendant. Any officer would take sides and pronounce judgment based solely on color.

An adrenaline surge could erupt without notice, compelling the young officer to draw their gun, and one or two lives could be lost - all for $2.37, the cost of a cup of coffee.

Major disputes over similar miffs lead to a loss of lives every day. Money clashing with ego is a hard beast to contain. Where one issue stops and another problem begins is difficult to tell.

Had a moment of contemplation not intervened, my body would have remained in turmoil. But, under my feet, the ground looked so dry it could do with a cup of water.
There are good reasons to drink coffee and this post is for those that are looking for reasons to keep drinking it.
Here's a list of some good reasons to drink coffee.

1. Ease the pain
Two cups of coffee can cut post-workout muscle pain. Make your cup of joe with little or no cream at all.

2. Coffee Can Improve Energy Levels and Make You Smarter
Coffee can help people feel less tired and increase energy levels. This is because it contains a stimulant called caffeine, which is actually the most commonly consumed psychoactive substance in the world. After you drink coffee, the caffeine is absorbed into the bloodstream. From there, it travels into the brain.

3. Helps Burning Fat
caffeine is found in almost every commercial fat burning supplement. There's a good reason for that... caffeine is one of the very few natural substances that have actually been proven to aid fat burning. Unless you are not making your coffee sugary.

4. Improve Physical Performance
Caffeine also increases Epinephrine (Adrenaline) levels in the blood. This is the "fight or flight" hormone, designed to make our bodies ready for intense physical exertion. Caffeine makes the fat cells break down body fat, releasing them into the blood as free fatty acids and making them available as fuel.

5. Lower the risk of type 2 diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is a gigantic health problem, currently afflicting about 300 million people worldwide. It is characterized by elevated blood sugars in the context of insulin resistance or an inability to secrete insulin. For some reason, coffee drinkers have a significantly reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

6. Fight Depression with coffee
Depression is a serious mental disorder that causes a significantly reduced quality of life. In a Harvard study published in 2011, women who drank 4 or more cups per day had a 20% lower risk of becoming depressed.

7. Lower the risk of some types of cancer
Liver and colorectal cancer are the 3rd and 4th leading causes of cancer death worldwide. Coffee drinkers have a lower risk of both.

If you want to drink coffee for its health benefits, drink your coffee black, without sugar, non-dairy creamer or cream, or flavorings. If you are dousing your cup of coffee in creamer, non-dairy creamer, sugar, and other sweeteners and flavorings, you are missing out on the therapeutic benefits and potentially harming your health.
